The Best Notepad Tricks For Windows

top 10 Notepad Tricks You Have Never seen!! Amazing Notepad Tricks for Windows.

If you press F5 in notepad, it will insert current date and time in the file. I think most of us know about this notepad trick. It is also mentioned in the Edit menu of the notepad.

Notepad isn't really that bad. It is a age old app, but it's still popular because of its simplicity.
Now I am going to show some fun notepad tricks. Enjoy these cool tricks.

1. Bush Hid the Facts – Most Popular Notepad Trick

Bush may have hid the facts. But whether or not he did, this trick looks really weird. According to the trick it really seems Microsoft had put some hack into the coding of notepad making the text hidden after saving it.

  • Open notepad.
  • Type BUSH HID THE FACTS
  • Save that file.
  • Close Notepad
  • Open the file again (with notepad like before)
  • Can you read it back?
Why This Happens ?
It was later known 4335 Rule. It means that if we enter four words separated by spaces, wherein the first word has 4 letters, the next two have three letters each, and the last word has five letters. Then Notepad Automatically hides the text into unknown code. Similar are with "this app can break".

2. How To Make Matrix With NotePad

I'am going to show you how to make cool Matrix batch file using notepad.
Open notepad and type in:

@echo off
color 2
:start
echo %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random% %random%
goto start

Save it as matrix.bat

Double click on file and it will open the matrix

3. World Trade Centre Attack Trick – Shocking Notepad Trick

Did you know that the flight number of the plane that had hit WTC on 9/11 was Q33NY …

  • Open your Notepad
  • Type the flight number i.e Q33N in Capital Letters.
  • Increase the Font Size to 72
  • Change the Font to Wingdings
You will be amazed by the findings. Its a Plane going for 2 building shaped structures & then death. (see below) WTF ?

Shocking … Ya …But this is a complete hoax… because I researched myself on Wikipedia and found that None of the planes involved in the 9/11 attacks had theflight number "Q33 NY". The flight numbers of the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers were in fact "11" and "175". Clearly, someone has simply made up this supposedflight number in an attempt to make the spurious claim seem valid.

4. How to get fake error message like below

  • Open Notepad
  • Type in: msg * Error: Your system is affected by virus
  • Save as "virus.bat"
  • Now open that .bat file, now you got error message window
  • Its not virus, just your assumption message.

5. Test your antivirus software is active or non active

To test your antivirus in full safety, you can use the file of Eicar test. This file is detected as a virus by the antiviruses but it is not one, it does not contain any viral code. If the false virus is detected, it is that your antivirus is active and protects you.

  • Open Notepad
  • Then recopy the following character string in the Notepad:
X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

  • Now save it and scan it by ur antivirus software..
  • If your antivirus is correctly activated, it must then alert you instantaneously presence of the Eicar virus.
  • Then ask your antivirus to remove the file. In my case I had installed BitDefender Anti Virus and file was recognize and removed automatically without any additional action from me.

If your antivirus does not see anything, than you have a problem. It could be because of two reasons: permanent protection is badly configured or there were some problems during antivirus installation. Then you have to read documentation of your software to correct this problem.

If the false virus is still not detected, you must then seriously think of changing anti-virus software.

6. Lock a Folder Using Notepad

ren pics.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} pics

Cool Tips, Tricks And Hacks For Windows XP

Use these tips, tricks and hacks to save time, solve problems, and have more fun with Windows XP.

Windows XP, arguably the world's most popular operating system, still has lots of tricks up its sleeve. Today I will show you some hidden rooms, some unknown corners in this column that you never knew existed but wanted to. Without much ado lets login to the wonderful hidden world of Windows XP.

1. Deleting System Softwares

XP hides some system software you might want to remove, such as Windows Messenger, but you can tickle it and make it disgorge everything. Using Notepad or Edit, edit the text file /windows/inf/sysoc.inf, search for the word 'hide' and remove it. You can then go to the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, select Add/Remove Windows Components and there will be your prey, exposed and vulnerable.

2. Modify autoplay for different types of CD

Windows XP includes the ability to perform different actions depending on the type of CD you insert into the drive. For example, you could set your system to always respond to CDs containing MP3 files by opening Windows Media Player.

To edit the Autoplay properties: Open 'my computer'. Right click on the drive you wish to set and select 'properties'. Choose the autoplay tab. Use the dropdown box to see the various recognized types of CD and choose appropriate actions for them.

3. Creating a desktop shortcut for locking your pc !

If you use your computer in an area where others may have access to it, and there are things on your system you would rather have kept confidential, locking your desktop when you leave the computer is an essential task. Here's a recipe for a desktop shortcut that will lock your computer in two easy clicks:

Right click on an empty area of the desktop and choose 'new' then 'shortcut.' The create shortcut wizard will open; in the first text box, type '%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation' and then give your shortcut an appropriate name on the next page, and hit 'finish.'

You will notice that the shortcut you created has a blank icon. To select a more appropriate one, right click on the shortcut and hit 'properties.' In the 'shortcut' tab, click the 'change icon' button.

In the 'look for icons in this file' box, type '%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll' then click 'ok' to see a range of icons for your new shortcut. Choose an appropriate icon. Your desktop locking shortcut is now ready for use. Test it out.

4. Creating Shutdown Icon or One Click Shutdown:

Navigate to your desktop. On the desktop, right-click and go to New, then to Shortcut (in other words, create a new shortcut). You should now see a pop-up window instructing you to enter a command line path.
Use this path in "Type Location of the Item"
SHUTDOWN -s -t 01
If the C: drive is not your local hard drive, then replace "C" with the correct letter of the hard drive. Click the "Next" button. Name the shortcut and click the "Finish" button. Now whenever you want to shut down, just click on this shortcut and you’re done.

5. Removing Shared Documents folder From My Computer

Open registry editor by going to Start then Run and entering regedit. Once in registry, navigate to key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ My Computer \ NameSpace \ DelegateFolders

You must see a sub-key named {59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee}. If you delete this key, you have effectively removed the my shared documents folder.

6. Renaming The Recycle Bin icon:

To change the name of the Recycle Bin desktop icon, click Start then goto Run, write Regedit and press Enter. It opens Registry Editor. Now in Registry Editor go to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
and change the name "Recycle Bin" to whatever you want (don’t type any quotes).

7. Force windows XP to reboot upon crashing

This registry edit will cause your system to reboot itself automatically upon crashing. This can be useful if you have a reason for keeping your system on 24/7:

Open REGEDIT

Navigate to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM
\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl'

Edit the 'AutoReboot' value to '1'

8. Locking the desktop

If you are leaving your computer for a while and do not wish to turn it off, but want to assure that no-one else can use the computer while you are away, locking the desktop is the best option.

By pressing WINDOWSKEY+L, you password protect your system just as if you had logged out or restarted the computer. The advantage is that any programs or processes that were running when you locked the desktop will stay open and running in the background, ready for you to resume work or play.

Windows XP is like a big ocean of tips and tricks. In the coming days I will add more and more Windows XP tips, tricks and hacks to this article.

How To Build A Nuclear Bomb And Other Weapons Of Mass Destruction

Learn How to Build a Nuclear Bomb to destroy the Earth.

The term weapons of mass destruction (WMD) is often used to describe a weapon that can kill large numbers of humans and/or cause great damage to man-made structures (e.g. buildings), natural structures (e.g. mountains), or the biosphere in general.

The term is often used to cover several weapon types, including nuclear, biological, chemical (NBC) and radiological weapons. Additional terms used in a military context include atomic, biological, and chemical warfare (ABC) and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) warfare.

How to Destroy the Earth?

It's not as easy to destroy the Earth as you might think. Evil geniuses everywhere have been trying for years. The problem lies with the fact that the Earth is pretty big and it takes quite a bit of energy to destroy it. There is a way however, to do it by using a Nuclear Bomb which is enough large and powerful to do a huge damage or even to destroy the Earth. Before I go further, there is a difference between destroying the Earth and destroying life on Earth. It takes much less energy to destroy all life, all you need to do that is block out the Sun or release some kind of virus. Now i am talking about blowing the planet to bits. This is a guide for those who do not want the Earth to be there anymore. I am not shure if i should post this article, but anyway please be humane and don't destroy the Earth after reading this book. :P

How to Build a Nuclear Bomb: And Other Weapons of Mass Destruction

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Weapons of mass destruction (WMD) are the greatest threat to national security in the twenty-first century. How to Build a Nuclear Bomb explains what it takes for a rogue state or terrorist group to obtain and use them. But nuclear weapons and terrorism expert Frank Barnaby has not written a collection of scare stories. His purpose in How to Build a Nuclear Bomb is to counteract the "misinformation, often put out for propaganda purposes" and general ignorance on this most urgent of topics. Barnaby describes, in straightforward, non-sensational terms what is involved when a state or a terrorist group sets out to make a weapon of mass destruction, what they are capable of doing, and what is needed to produce one. By outlining the parameters of the problem, Barnaby is able to accurately gauge the threat that WMD pose, arguing that counterterrorist measures urgently need to be stepped up to meet the challenges of a new era of international terror.

Synopsis:

A nuclear scientist describes, in frightening detail, how easy it is to make weapons of mass destruction.

Synopsis:

- Issues relating to WMD always make headline news
-Frank Barnaby has personally witnessed a nuclear explosions

5.
