Chitika Linx goes hmm

This morning upon visiting sites that were using Chitika Linx (A Chitika Publishers Advertising Program), various popups appeared displaying the word HMM or hmm. The visitor was then required to click OK on these pop up boxes to view the site. Scared that this might be a hack attempt on Chitika and not knowing what kind of negative long term effects this might have on my sites, I had completely removed the Linx code from all my websites that were using it. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to my viewers.

Update: It looks like Chitika was testing a new feature of their Linx program. The feature was never suppose to go LIVE but did for a few minutes� somehow by mistake…. It appears fixed now. I would like to thank those who contacted me to report the problem on my sites and the Chitika team for their quick response to the matter.
